Getting Started: Beginning my Crypto.com review with a look into how the markets work
Not all prediction market sites are the same, as they all offer a unique trading experience. Since Crypto.com isn’t exclusively a prediction market site, I found that they really understand that not everyone will know how trading works. Let’s face it, some of their customers might crossover from other products and may have limited knowledge. With this in mind, Crypto.com has beginner-friendly guides.
If you need to brush up on a few things or have absolutely no knowledge of prediction markets at all, Crypto.com can get you up to speed. For example, I found guides that break down how to convert cash into crypto on the site, how to make a deposit for the first time, and even a guide on choosing the cryptocurrency that works for you.
Once you have enough to get you started, you can keep updated with the latest news in the industry. Crypto.com hosts a wide range of information, including the latest trends, popular markets, and more. If you are intrigued and want to learn more about the prediction market industry, Crypto.com is one of the best places to be.
The great news is that Crypto.com works just like all the best prediction market apps. You will have access to a selection of topics, including sports, politics, and crypto, for example. Under each category, you will find a wide range of prediction markets that are framed as simple questions that relate to real-world events. It’s up to you to predict the outcome of these events by trading event contracts.
For example, consider the question "Who will be Trump's next Attorney General?" Prediction markets offer contracts tied to the possible outcomes. Each contract's price reflects the market's implied probability of that event occurring. If a Yes contract is trading at $0.68, the market is effectively assigning a 68% chance to that outcome. As traders buy and sell contracts based on new information and changing expectations, prices move and the implied probabilities update accordingly.
Correct forecasts are settled at $1
If you correctly predict an outcome, your contract will automatically settle at $1. Of course, that’s not your entire profit, as you will need to deduct the cost of the contract, too. If your outcome didn’t come true, your contract will become worthless and settle at $0, meaning that you don’t make a profit. It’s worth noting that contracts range between $0.01 and $0.99, so your profit will vary.
Event contract formats
The standard event contracts are based on binary Yes or No options. Crypto.com goes a step further and offers a few other options, depending on the market. Let’s take a look at the different types of contracts you might encounter:
- Yes/No - Trade on a Yes or No outcome, such as “Will GameStop acquire eBay this year?” If you think this will happen, you would buy the Yes contract, or vice versa.
- Range - Some markets will offer a range to choose from, such as “$100-$250”. Essentially, you are given a range, and if the outcome lands within that margin, your contract will be determined as correct.
- Multiple Choice - This tends to be available if a market has several potential outcomes, not just one or two. For example, “TIME’s Person of the Year 2026”. As there are multiple nominees, you can trade a Yes or No contract on any of the listed nominees.
Crypto.com trading fees
Crypto.com has a fee structure that works a little differently from other prediction market sites, as it depends on the value of your contracts. It also depends on whether or not your forecast was correct, as you don’t pay any fees for an incorrect prediction. To give you an idea, here’s the fee structure, based on $1 contracts:
- Exchange fee - $0.02
- Technology fee - $0.00
As you can see, there is a technology fee. This is only added to your contracts if they reach a certain value. For example, you won’t pay a technology fee on $1 contracts, but you will pay a $0.10 technology fee on a $10 contract.
Usability, Look & Feel: Crypto.com is user-led, offering a smooth experience
Crypto.com isn’t just a prediction market site, so upon landing on the site, you do need to make your way to the prediction markets area. This isn’t hard work, though, as the site offers a clear ‘Markets’ tab. You can then select your favorite category or head to the wider hub, where you can browse through all of the topics. What I liked about the website is that the filters make it so easy to narrow down your search. For example, for crypto markets, you can choose specific markets, such as 5-minute, 20-minute, Daily, and more, to tailor your search.
After making my way to my preferred market, I was given a graph to track the movements and a breakdown of the contract prices, probability, and so on. All the prices and movements are updated in real-time, so you are never far behind what’s happening. When it comes to markets that fluctuate rapidly, such as cryptocurrency prices, the updates hit Crypto.com at lightning speed.

App-based trading at Crypto.com
It’s important to note that you need to install the app to trade event contracts at Crypto.com. While the website is a great place to source information, you can’t buy or sell event contracts there. The website is a hub of information, where you can find the latest prediction markets, track price movements, and even contact customer support. Think of the website as a central hub, where you can find everything you need to start trading.
The app is available on iOS and Android devices, which can be installed from their respective app store. Alternatively, you can download the app by tapping the links on Crypto.com directly. Upon comparing the app and website, I have to say that the app works very well. In fact, it’s a whole lot more convenient. Each page is scrollable and responsive, which makes light work of moving around.
A key feature of the app that stood out to me during my Crypto.com review is that you can even check the results of your past predictions. So, if you like to stick with similar events, you can always refer back to your previous forecasts to see if you can spot any trends or patterns. Of course, just because an outcome happened last time, that doesn't mean it will repeat itself, but it’s always good to access previous stats.

Markets available: Diverse selection of categories in Crypto.com
I have been impressed by the volume of categories I found in my Crypto.com prediction market review. Initially, I was expecting to find only crypto topics, but that’s far from the truth. Traders can buy and sell event contracts on a wide range of topics, just like what I found in my Kalshi review.
Sports
Unlike the other categories at Crypto.com, sports has its dedicated section because it’s such a vast topic. Upon loading the sports tab, you will find some of the most popular sports around the world, including soccer, baseball, golf, tennis, and basketball. There’s even a ‘Headlines’ tab, where you can find the matches that are trending, such as the World Cup.
Crypto
Crypto.com provides both short-term and long-term outcomes for 17 different cryptocurrencies, where you will predict the prices by specific deadlines. Currently, Crypto.com covers BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, and more. Whether you want to predict the price of crypto by the end of the day or week, there are plenty of options available. Plus, you can trade on 5-minute, 20-minute, and 2-hour markets if you’re into fast-paced action.
Finance
The financial markets are a new addition to Crypto.com, but are steadily growing. As of right now, you can predict the prices of Crude Oil, Gold, and Silver, as well as forecast the fluctuations of local currencies, including GBP, EUR, USD, and AUD.
Politics
Predict various US-based political events, including elections, policies, and candidates. To give you an idea, I found markets for “Party to control the US Senate in 2026” and “US Presidential Election Winner 2028”. Surprisingly, the political markets are some of the most in-depth on the site.
Economics
I was pretty impressed with the economic predictions I found during my Crypto.com review. As I made my way through the long list of markets, I found contracts relating to a whole host of economic outcomes, including Fed decisions, the US recession, unemployment rates, and interest rates.
Culture
The culture tab on Crypto.com covers a selection of television, movie, and gaming industry events. You can predict who will win specific awards or rank highly among fans, such as ‘Top Song on Spotify 2026’. It’s a great way to get involved in key cultural moments.
Payment Methods: Choose from fiat and crypto methods for deposits and withdrawals
When it comes to funding your account and withdrawing your settlement wins, you are going to need to have an idea of which payment methods are available. Thankfully, Crypto.com doesn’t apply deposit fees, so you don’t need to worry about any hidden charges. The great thing about Crypto.com is that I’ve found them to be completely transparent with fees, so I’ve never been surprised by a sudden charge.
Crypto.com accepts both traditional payment methods and cryptocurrencies. If you don’t have crypto but would like to use it, then you can also convert your cash into crypto directly on the site or app. Given the brand’s name, you won’t be surprised to hear that cryptocurrencies are the main payment methods. You can use a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin, just to name a few.
Just keep in mind that if you buy crypto with a debit or credit card, then there may be a fee applied. This will be revealed to you before you process any payment, so you don’t need to worry about being charged without your approval. For traditional methods, I found a solid list, including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer. There’s even an option to use PayPal, which is one of the most popular e-wallets around.
Customer Support: I received great support during my Crypto.com review
It doesn’t matter how good a prediction market site or app is; support is going to be needed at some stage. Even if you have a quick question surrounding registration, for example, you are bound to need some level of support. So, I have made sure that Crypto.com offers adequate support that offers quick solutions.
As far as I can tell, the live chat service is the main channel for seeking support. When I tested the live chat, I received replies within a few seconds. You heard that right. Responses came in very quickly and resolved my question promptly. I asked a series of questions about deposits and promotions, all of which were resolved by a friendly and knowledgeable agent.
Alternatively, you can send the team an email directly. This is perfect for queries that don’t require instant support and can wait a little while. Having said that, my email query didn’t take long to get a reply. While responses can vary depending on how busy the team is, I got a response within a few hours. I like to give operators around 24 hours to reply before I start worrying, which is a timeframe that Crypto.com completely smashed out of the park.
Instead of a standard FAQ page, Crypto.com has almost a blog-like page. In this area, you will find articles that offer tons of useful information. For instance, it will give you an overview of how to choose a cryptocurrency that works for you, how to apply more security to your account, and even learn about the trending categories. So, if you want to learn something new about prediction markets in general or Crypto.com specifically, this is somewhere that’s worth exploring.
Is Crypto.com legit?
Before I end my Crypto.com review, I made sure to check the level of security on the site and app. Crypto.com is regulated by the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission), which is an independent agency that makes sure that the site is protected from fraud risks. I also found that Crypto.com is SEC-regulated, which ensures the financial information is legit. Furthermore, Crypto.com is fully ISO and PCI DSS compliant, with the latter offering high levels of security for processing, storing, and transmitting payments.
As for payments, I was pleased to find out that Crypto.com uses cold wallets, which are where information is stored offline in secure storage. These are protected with private keys that don’t need the internet. By being held offline, they are protected against hacking online. When it comes to protecting your account in general, you can apply two-factor authentication. This sends you a new code every time you attempt to log in, which then confirms it’s you who is trying to access your account.
What I really liked about Crypto.com is that it allows you to verify any communication that you have received from a company claiming to be Crypto.com. So, if you receive an email from someone at Crypto.com, you can head to the website or app and enter the details in the verification tab. You will be told whether or not the message is genuine or whether it’s a scam. It’s a fantastic tool that I think many sites should adopt, as it helps to protect you from malicious third parties who are claiming to be Crypto.com to either access your account or encourage you to send money.

Verdict: Impressive performance in this Crypto.com review
Crypto.com is a leading prediction market site that offers a central hub through the website, with trading only available through the app. You can access a wide range of categories, including crypto, sports, politics, and culture. With new categories arriving, the selection is expected to expand even more as time goes on. For example, financial markets weren’t available when I first visited Crypto.com, which has since been added.
