Myanmar’s iGaming demand fell 60.7% YoY
Conflict and digital controls first — then Blask shows the slow bleed in offshore attention.
Myanmar’s demand sits inside a conflict economy. Township internet blackouts ran through 2024, and on 1 January 2025 the junta enacted a Cybersecurity Law aimed at unauthorized VPNs, online fraud, and illegal gambling infrastructure. Contested banking and FX rails raise the cost of moving money even when search interest appears.
Township — a local administrative district in Myanmar.
Junta — a military government that holds power by force rather than by election.
Blask measures the attention side of that setting. Myanmar’s Blask Index for September 2025–August 2026 sits 27.7% below the prior twelve months. August alone is 60.7% under August 2025.

December 2024 drops 23.6% MoM, while March 2026 cuts another 21.1%. From late 2025 into August 2026 the path is almost one-way down, while brand count climbs from the mid-50s into the mid-80s.
For June–August 2026, ibet789 holds 52.3% BAP, with 1xBet at 18.2% and a long tail under 8% each.

Myanmar reads as a shrinking offshore attention market with a crowded brand list and a dominant leader. For operators the signal is risk and retention among names that already clear access and payments.
