Santiago is adding another DNS list in a market with no online casino or sportsbook licence.
On 21 September 2026 the Undersecretariat of Telecommunications notified ISPs to add 37 domains, subdomains and mirrors to their DNS blocks. The Superintendence of Gaming Casinos (SCJ) had validated the list. Providers have 48 hours from notice.
The order follows rulings from the Supreme Court and the Santiago Court of Appeals.

Chile does not license online casinos or online sportsbooks — Law 19.995 covers land-based casinos only. The only legal bets are Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, Lotería de Concepción and authorised horse-racing products. A Senate bill to license online platforms is still in Congress.

The new list names Betano, Betsson, Rojabet, Estelarbet, Betcris, Kto Bet, 1xBet, Marathonbet, Betway, Betfair, Betsala, Bet365, Mi Casino and Sporting Bet. Together they take 61.9% BAP (August 2025–August 2026).

The blocked brands already dominate Chilean search. Over August 2025–August 2026, Betano held 52.2% of demand — more than half the market. Betsson, also on the list, ranked fourth.
JugaBet, Coolbet and Novibet fill the rest of the top five and do not appear in this Subtel brand roll.
CEB for the same window was $1.2B, all of it offshore. August 2026 finished 25.9% above August 2025, after a pullback from July.
The Chilean Association of Online Betting Platforms (aPAL) says Chile needs a single online-betting statute. It also said some of the new addresses sit outside the court texts that started the block procedure.
The next monthly figures will show whether DNS cuts into Betano’s share — or whether search moves to the names this list left out.
