US iGaming demand rose 14% in September, but five states fell
Alaska reached an all-time high in the same month Kansas dropped from its own record.
September is usually among the strongest months for US iGaming, and Blask Index followed the pattern, rising in 45 of the 50 states. The rebound came off the low of 2026, though, and national demand finished September 26% below the same month of 2025.
September was the top month of 2022 and second behind November or October in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and on a four-year average it comes first. In 2026 it is the sixth of nine months, 19% under January and above only April, July and August.

Alaska, representing only 0.22% of US iGaming demand, set an all-time high, passing its October 2025 peak, and Alabama reached its 2026 high, 12.9% under its November 2023 peak. The other 48 states had a stronger month earlier this year, mostly January.
Kansas, Idaho, Delaware, Maine and South Dakota went the other way, and together they hold 3.8% of national demand. Earlier Septembers had almost none of this: Delaware was the only state down in 2021 and 2022, no state fell in 2023 or 2024, and in 2025 only Arkansas did, by 1.8%.

CEB, Blask’s projected revenue, rose only 2% from August to $6.4B (min $3.8B, max $14.3B) and stayed 1.9% under September 2025, so the demand rebound barely reached revenue.
