Crown Coins has widened its US sweepstakes lead every month since June

The new leader of US sweepstakes search has kept pulling away from the old one while regulators close in on the model.

Crown Coins overtook Chumba Casino on Blask Index in June 2026 and has held first place in the US sweepstakes segment through September. Over the same four months, VGW wound down LuckyLand Slots, Stake.us left Illinois, and Florida’s attorney general took the fight to the ad platforms.

The gap between the two brands grew every month, from 15% in June to 53% in September. Chumba stayed flat until a September dip, so most of the distance came from Crown Coins itself.

The category did not grow with it. US sweepstakes Blask Index fell 7% between June and September, while Crown Coins’ share rose from 13.9% to 18.3% — a gain taken from rivals rather than from new demand.

The shift is national. In September Crown Coins ranked first in 34 of 50 states, up from 23 in June, and Chumba’s count fell from 13 to 8.

Illinois is one of the 34. The state’s Gaming Board ordered more than 65 sweepstakes operators to block residents in February, and Crown Coins is among the brands still operating there. It now holds 19.1% of Illinois sweepstakes search.

Enforcement has landed unevenly so far: the brands that withdrew from states or were named in Florida’s lawsuits lost search, and the one that kept operating through a cease-and-desist took the lead. Florida’s October 23 deadline for Google, Meta and TikTok is the first test aimed at the channel all of them use to recruit players.
