Blask introduces Provider and Genre Content Share: new data on games

Blask has launched two new widgets on country pages: Provider Content Share and Genre Content Share. Here is what they measure and who they are built for.

Blask tracks more than 38,000 casino games in operator lobbies. Within this database, one of the key ways to navigate a market is the breakdown of games by providers and genres:

  • Who supplies the content
  • Which categories occupy the most visible space
  • How these metrics change from country to country

For providers, the mirror question is just as important: how visible are their games in operator lobbies in a specific country, and how does that position compare with competitors.

Each widget shows two metrics side by side

Content Share represents the provider’s or genre’s share within top-tier operator lobbies. The calculation takes the game’s position on the page into account: games placed higher receive more weight than those hidden lower down. This reflects real visibility, not just volume.

Brand Coverage is the number of operators in the selected sample that have at least one game from this provider in their lobby.

Both metrics support sorting by WoW and MoM, enabling users to identify incumbent market leaders and those who are gaining traction.

Who uses this data and how

Operators. When entering a new jurisdiction, operators can sort providers by Content Share and see who occupies the most space in local lobbies. By ranking developers via this metric, casinos can create a prioritized shortlist for integration. For operators already active in the market, sorting by WoW or MoM helps spot growing providers before they become the obvious choice and their commercial terms become less favourable.

Providers. The widgets provide iGaming suppliers with a direct view of their market position: where their games stand against competitors and how that position changes over time. This is useful for regional expansion decisions and sales negotiations.

The genre breakdown answers a parallel question: which game categories are driving the market and which ones are starting to gain share.
