Where iGaming demand is moving: 20 markets compared

Global iGaming demand is moving in different directions. Botswana surged 127% year over year, the Philippines grew 87.6%, and Germany gained 84.9%. Meanwhile, Bangladesh lost more than half its demand, while the United States and India recorded declines of over 25%.
Blask analysed year-over-year changes in the Blask Index across 20 markets, comparing September 2026 with September 2025 to identify where player interest is growing, where it's declining, and what's driving the changes.
What the data shows
Growth doesn't always mean a market is becoming more attractive. In Germany, two offshore-labelled brands drove more growth than the entire market gained. In Botswana, one operator accounts for 94% of demand. And in the Philippines, three licensed brands generated roughly three-quarters of the increase.
Declining demand tells equally different stories. Bangladesh's 51.6% drop followed tighter gambling enforcement, while the US decline reflects changing demand patterns, including the rise of prediction markets.
