Bet365 leads Spain’s downloads with a 2.5x BAP gap

Bet365 is Spain’s most downloaded sports betting app — on a market where 112 brands compete for licensed demand.

Sensor Tower data ranked bet365 first among online sports betting applications in Spain from September 2025 through February 2026. YouGov placed it ahead of every Spanish competitor on brand awareness, at 47% overall, with the strongest recognition among 18–34 year olds. On 26 May, the operator doubled its welcome offer for new customers, raising the deposit match in Bet Credits from €100 to €200 ahead of the summer sports calendar. Blask data from the same window tests whether that mobile lead matches search demand.

Bet365 holds nearly a quarter of Spain’s projected revenue

Spain remains one of Europe’s most fragmented betting markets — Blask tracks 118 brands, 112 active — and nearly all branded demand stays onshore: the licensed segment holds about 98.5% according to Blask Index. Total market CEB for September 2025 through February 2026 reached $949M.

From September 2025 through February 2026, bet365 ranked first in BAP with roughly 2.5 times the share of bwin in second place and holds nearly a quarter of Spain’s projected market CEB — a gap no local operator closes. Sportium, Codere and Luckia remain visible in the rankings, but none approach bet365’s combined brand strength across the period.

With 111 other active brands splitting the rest of the market, the €200 welcome offer adds acquisition pressure before the World Cup summer — it does not change the underlying demand structure Blask already records. Sensor Tower’s download ranking, YouGov’s awareness lead and Blask’s BAP hierarchy point to the same operator on a regulated market where competition is wide but concentration at the top is narrow.
