US sweepstakes casino market June 2026: Crown Coins overtakes Chumba as category demand hits a one-year high

Blask Index for the US sweepstakes market rose 23.65% in June — its highest level in 12 months.

Chumba Casino had held the top position among US sweepstakes casinos for almost two years, but in June 2026 it lost that position to Crown Coins for the first time. According to Blask, the brand’s BAP share climbed from 4.16% in May to 16.81% the following month — just over a fourfold increase.

US sweepstakes market context: why June 2026 was unusual

The market’s growth wasn’t limited to a reshuffling of demand within the top 10. In June, Blask Index for the US sweepstakes segment rose 23.65% month over month, reaching its highest level in the past year. Crown Coins’ surge coincided with this increase and was a major contributor to the category’s growth.

What may have driven the demand surge

The timing of the jump coincided with two moves by Crown Coins:

  • Launch of Crown Bingo Live. In April 2026, the brand rolled out a second engagement product, adding live bingo to its slot catalog.
  • Terence “Bud” Crawford campaign. In recent months, Crown Coins named the boxer its brand ambassador, released a themed slot, Crown Coins Knockout, and launched the promo code CRAWFORD. The campaign was timed to his September 13 fight against Canelo Álvarez at Allegiant Stadium, one of the year’s most high-profile boxing events, which Netflix will stream.

Crown Coins entered the top three and posted the largest monthly BAP gain in the ranking. Growth accelerated further by the end of June, but July and August will show whether the brand can hold the lead once the promotional boost fades.
