The pace in South Africa is being set away from the brands that already sit on top.
Through September 2026, 1win posted the steepest trailing-twelve-month rise in Blask Index of any brand with at least 0.01% of South Africa iGaming search. Betway and Hollywoodbets, both onshore, together held 76% of it in a market where, in February 2026, the National Gambling Board restated that unauthorized interactive gambling remains unlawful.
1win was thirteenth in September search, at 0.56%, up from 0.02% a year earlier. Five other offshore brands grew faster, all from shares too small to clear that line. Zarbet, a mixed-license brand at 0.10%, is the only other name above it ahead of SportyBet.

SportyBet is licensed and already held 1.5% of September search, ahead of 1win, and more than nine-tenths of 1win’s twelve-month Blask Index landed in May–September 2026. May, the first of those months, was more than four times April.
Lotto Star, third in September search, is mixed-license and grew 1.7% over the same twelve months. 1win supplied 62% of offshore search in that month.
Over October 2025–September 2026, CEB (Competitive Earning Baseline, projected revenue) was 86.2% onshore, 9.4% mixed-license and 4.3% offshore. Blask Index for the same months split 92.3%, 7% and 0.8% in that order. Offshore is a wider slice of projected revenue than of search.
1win’s average CEB was $1.6M across those twelve months, against $123M at Hollywoodbets, and in September the brand’s $4.5M ranked tenth by CEB.
