Nine large markets changed their demand leader in Q3

Most large iGaming markets kept the same brand in front through the third quarter, while the places just behind it moved much more often.

24 out of 55 markets with Q3 CEB above $50M finished September with the same three brands in the same order. The other 31 changed a name, the order, or both, and 9 of them had a new brand in first place by the end of the quarter. France, Sweden, and the UAE swapped the name in front during the quarter and returned to the June brand by September.

Nine markets ended September under a new search leader — from Merit King in Turkey to Swiss Casino in Switzerland.

Belgium, Bangladesh, and New Zealand changed leaders across a gap of about one to two points of search share. Turkey kept Merit King in front through July, then moved to Nesine in August and Jojobet in September. Japan had a different leader in each month of the quarter after Rainbet fell out of the top three.

In Germany, Tipico held 21.6% of search in June. In September Vulkan Vegas was at 35%, with NV casino second. Vulkan passed Tipico in July and kept widening the gap through August and September.

In Spain, bwin moved ahead of Bet365 in August, 13.1% to 12.2%, and still ranked first in September. Swiss Casino led Switzerland from August, after Swisslos had held 27.3% of search in June.

The brand in first place was the same in June and September in 46 of these markets. Germany is where a new leader also led projected revenue: Vulkan averaged $44M of CEB a month in the quarter, with NV casino and Tipico near $38M.
