Brazilian police arrest Brabet-linked operator in Campinas

On May 21, São Paulo and Ceará civil police carried out a raid and arrested the owner of the offshore gambling platform Brabet.

Alberth Cesar Janjon, 43, was detained under a court order as part of a joint operation by the São Paulo and Ceará civil police, which took place across six states. Police claim that he managed an illegal gambling network that drove traffic to unlicensed platforms through influencers. The charges include participation in a criminal organization, fraud, and money laundering.

According to investigators, a separate member of the network, operating from China, generated approximately $199K per day. The arrest followed a civil investigation opened on May 13 by Brazil’s Public Prosecutor’s Office into the Brabet.com platform over consumer protection issues.
