Brazil accounted for 92% of 1win’s October search gain

A single offshore market accounts for 1win’s latest jump in worldwide search.

1win’s Blask Index for 1–15 October was 35% above the same days in September and 215% above a year earlier. In Brazil, where the brand is offshore, provisional measure 1.394 of 25 September took licensed sites offline on the 6 October, covering fixed-odds sports betting and online games, including offers from abroad.

1win’s search in Brazil over 1–15 October was five times the same days in September. In the ten days from the 6 October shutdown, the daily rate was about six times September’s daily average. The brand held 9% of the Brazilian total, second to Betano. That gain was about twice the net growth of Brazil’s whole offshore book over the same days.

Brazil went from 8% of 1win’s global search in the September reading to 30% in this one. The rest of the brand’s countries, taken together, added under a tenth of Brazil’s increase.

Size and local rank part ways. Brazil is the largest slice of 1win and second by BAP in that market. Kyrgyzstan is a thin slice of the brand and still second at home, while India is one of the larger slices and only 18th.

1win used the opening in Brazil. Licensed sites went dark, and a brand already offshore there took the search that shifted — enough for one country to carry the global gain.
